So. Due to recent post I found out about these things.
I currently have about 2800
I started just doung quick sells but is there a way to do a mass quick sell?
It's actually painful going through them so I had to stop.
Also is there any point to these except to sell? Like I have an AWO card for team fortress 2 but can't see a way to claim it?
What about converting to gems? Is that better?

Prefer money to help get at least a break on some games.
Also how quick is quick sales? Will ijust be waiting forever for whatever little funds I het?

Yeah, you can convert them into "gems" which you can use as a currency to buy card packs for specific games, but that is only worthwhile if there are sets you want to complete for some reason.

When I'm feeling ambitious I sometimes sell cards. If I set the asking price in line with what Steam shows for the current offers, they usually sell fairly quickly.

What about mass selling? This is gonna take forever.

The foil ones are worth more.

I don’t think so.

Doesn’t matter now, but you kinda missed the Golden Age of card selling when you could get very decent money from them, and they didn’t require all the back-checking and box ticking bs.

It really isn’t worth it these days, although if you want to spend the time, you probably can get around $90 worth of credit for that many cards.

It also helps to be getting cards for a game that is new and popular. Dragon Age: The Veilguard cards are worth about CAD $.25 right now, but that won't last. I got 2 unique drops and one dupe. I sold the dupe, crafted a pack from gems and got 2 more uniques plus another dupe, and put that one up for sale as well. Both sold in less than a minute, so I've got a sweet 50 cents sitting in my Steam wallet.

I'm currently up to 6.38. Have one tgat sold for 7 but got a notice that it was an unusual selling price and was on hold.

I used my 50 cents to put 25 cent bids on the two remaining cards I needed to complete the set, and both purchases were completed. I'm back to a zero balance and have a complete set of trading cards. Now I just need to decide if I'd rather have the set or if I should burn them to craft the badge...

I had about five bucks on my account from cards sold since the summer sale, so I added a few and got the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster which was $10 since I already owned the original, so that wasn't too bad.

If I really like a game, I craft the set. If I'm just so-so on a particular game, I sell the cards and use the pennies that result to complete the sets for the games I like. I've crafted quite a few badges, and have never spent a dime of my own money. I used to only craft during sales for the tchotkes, but there's no real point in that anymore.

And no, it has no value. I do it because I wanna.

Huh... I was today years old when I discovered that after you craft a badge you can still pull up the card art even if you no longer have the cards. I have a few games where I have a full set of cards but didn't craft the badge because I like the card art and didn't want to lose them.
